I love magazines an...Overall, I love the Newsstand. I love magazines and having my subscriptions in one place on my iPad is great.<br /><br />But the big problem with Newsstand right now is discoverability within iTunes.<br /><br />When you get a list of "All" magazines in the Newsstand at this moment, the total is 2455. Great selection!<br /><br />However...<br /><br />The only sorting is by Release Date or Name. I'm shocked by that. <br /><br />Is iTunes now such a cobbled together mish-mash of code after all these years that creating categories (music, lifestyle, news, etc.) to search on is impossible to include?<br /><br />I already know to search for digital editions of my longtime favorite print magazines. <br /><br />But I want to be able to easily discover new magazines in categories that I love that I might not have known about.<br /><br />This is especially relevant as Newsstand allows us to subscribe to magazines from other countries... magazines we might not know exist because we've never seen them in a local bookstore.<br /><br />In fact, I found my way here because I stumbled across your offering of the Forty-20 magazine. <br /><br />I didn't have a clue that magazine existed and it was dumb luck that I found it. <br /><br />How much easier would it have been for me to be able to drill down to the Sports and narrow my search under that?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
